Paola Parlanti, MD, PhD joined GW in 2018 as a lab associate at GWNIC. Paola's area of focus is in the characterization of biological samples using electron microscopy, especially the analysis of models for neurodegenerative disorders. Since 2012, Paola has worked on the development of new correlative imaging approaches (X-ray Micro-CT/electron microscopy and CLEM) and on the optimization of sample preparation protocols for correlative analysis. Additionally, Paola has experience in the analysis of biological samples treated with nanostructured materials, useful for drug delivery.
